There is a debate today in the National Assembly on the horrible situation in Gaza. I think its important that the Assembly has its say on these sorts of things.
Interestingly, Plaid Cymru were calling on the Welsh Assembly Government (more specifically Health Minister, Mrs Edwina Hart) this weekend to offer financial aid to the injured children of Gaza.
The merits of this aside, the increasing tendency of Plaid to call on the Plaid government to take action never ceases to amuse.
There are a couple of possible reasons for this,
a) Either they have forgotten they are the Welsh Assembly Government (business as usual for Labour though, you can see how that happened)
b) It’s their new policy to communicate with their coalition partners via the media
c) They are slowly learning that they are being had by Labour and so are trying to distance themselves thinking we are all going to let them forget their broken promises. (tut tut tut)
d) Nobody listens to them in Cabinet, the most normal place (you might think) for a government to ask the government to do something.
e) All of the above.
Us mere mortals may never understand. I shall let you make your own mind up….
