Congratulations to Mike Priestley who has been chosen, with 100% approval, as the Aberconwy Liberal Democrat candidate to fight the next General Election. I was lucky enough to be present at his adoption meeting last Friday and was hugely impressed by his first speech as PPC for Aberconwy – I am sure it will be the first of many!
I am delighted that Mike has been chosen as our PPC for Aberconwy – he is an outstanding candidate who has already done so much for the area both as Cllr for Llandudno and as Cabinet member for Environment on Conwy Borough Council.
Mike is a doer – from his successful apprenticeship scheme between local education providers and businesses to his dedication to recycling services which has brought the county up to 3rd best in wales at recycling and composting. Mike has the excellent capabilities to not only come up with ideas that work but also has the skills to implement them and get people on board with his enthusiasm and charisma. These talents will put in him in great stead to take the Welsh Liberal Democrats forwards to success in Aberconwy.
I wish Mike and the whole Aberconwy team the best of luck in their campaign.
