According to the list of Assembly Business next week, the Welsh Lib Dems are set to attempt to overturn the Government’s introduction of Top-Up fees. The motion, tabled by Peter Black for debate on Wednesday reads:
The National Assembly for Wales:
Calls on the Welsh Assembly Government to reverse its decision to scrap the tuition fees grant.
This is interesting because it raises the very real possibility that the Government could be defeated, IF Plaid Members, follow their party policy instead of their Labour masters/equals (delete as appropriate after the vote). Watch this space.
