Have you ever wondered what life as an MP is really like?
Are you standing, or considering standing, as a candidate and want the opportunity to find out more about the job?
As part of our initiative to encourage and support women parliamentary candidates, the Campaign for Gender Balance is planning a Parliamentary ‘Open Day’. This event aims to give potential candidates a taste of life as an MP, and hopefully inspire you to make this your future career! The day will include the opportunity to shadow an MP and find out what the role involves on a day-to-day basis, as well as an evening reception.
The date of the event is Tuesday 14th July 2009. If you are interested in participating in this event, please fill out the attached application form and return it to genderbalance@libdems.org.uk by Monday 22nd June at the latest. Places on the day are limited, so participants must be considering a career in Parliament to be eligible to attend
