Former Deputy Chief Constable to fight Delyn

Welsh Liberal Democrats have selected former North Wales Police deputy chief constable, Bill Brereton to stand against the police minister for the Liberal Democrats at the general election.

Mr. Brereton has been selected as the candidate for Delyn, a seat held since 1992 by Labour’s David Hanson.

Until recently, Mr Brereton was clerk to Nercwys Community Council and is a police and security consultant
