Over on Wales Home they have details of the Welsh Political Blog Post Awards 2009.
My understanding is that these awards do exactly as it says on the tin and are for blog posts as opposed to entire blogs themselves. To my mind, that means they don’t have to come from a blog that is political all the time, indeed that fresh perspective may be what marks them out. Alternatively, it may be a post that offers real in depth analysis based on someone being right at the heart of the political world. The stated objective of the awards is
To identify the best blog posts of 2009 and to once more award three highly prestigious online baubles which permit the recipients to wear them as medals of pride or badges of shame on their websites
