Easter recess is over and the Assembly is back with a vengence. The first order of business is First Minister’s Questions and already there are some significant absences on the Labour, Conservative and Plaid Cymru benches.
At least one Assembly Member may well be out seeking a career elsewhere however it seems that some of the absences are unavoidable. I am told that at least four Labour AMs are stranded abroad due to the Icelandic ash cloud.
I certainly do not begrudge them a holiday but I am not sure that their MP colleagues will be so understanding at the fact that these AMs have taken time out of their re-election campaign.
