    Thanks for posting this. A cracking debate which the Welsh lib dems were certainly in the right to oppose the air link. In terms of a massive subsidy (£84) per person and amuch cheaper and more enviornmentally friendly alternativein the form of train.
    Trains in Wales have massive potential. Old lines could be reinstated and an alternative tocar travel, eg st. Clears station or the narberth-Cardigan line (currently line dug up)which may bring an opening to reinstate links from pembs to Aberystwth along the west coast. Suppose many other areas of Wales too.
    For this sort of subsidy we could start on building cycleways flanking motorways and make travelling between towns fun, low cost, no emissions and get people fit.
