    • ]]>     One intriquing theory about the sacking of Jonathan Morgan as Welsh Conservative Health Spokesperson is that it was his gaff in advocating a single adult neurosurgery in Cardiff that forced Nick Bourne to act.

    Morgan’s advocacy of Cardiff caused a lot of anger in South West Wales, many of who are content with the shared site solution being imposed by Health Minister, Edwina Hart in defiance of the expert advice she has received.

    It could not have been comfortable for South West Wales Tory politicians such as Alun Cairns, Angela Burns, Paul Davies, Stephen Crabb and Nick Bourne to have seen so much anger directed at their party by their constituents because of Morgan’s crass championing of an NHS being run by experts and professionals in direct defiance of the wishes of local people.

    With a General Election looming and with some key battlegrounds positioned at the heart of this controversy, Nick Bourne may have been forced to act so as to defuse tensions.
